This 1.5 Scale 7½" Gauge Model (Shifter)

Diesel Locomotive replica is truly built for the long haul.  It’ll easily and smoothly pull you and 10 people around a ½ mile long track – including 30 yards of 3% grade - for a full 8 hours and still have power to spare.  Ring the traditional bell or sound the Diesel horn and pull out of the station as the Chief Engineer on your own RR Line on the Locomotive of your choice.

    pull other cars, and you can control the engine from the passenger car.
     
  2. You can sit on it, and ride it !
    As shown in the pictures above, you need no passenger car,
     
  3. Available as a kit or assembled.
     The "Shifter" standard model comes to you as a "kit". It contains all the parts you need to assemble the unit, ready to ride!
     
  4. Variable Speed Controller
    All electronics of the variable speed control are complete, including the control box.
     
  5. Control Box
    The control box contains the reverse switch and speed control. and also contains the dynamic braking . Moving the lever from  25% to zero of the rotation of the lever is the dynamic braking device. Such action will slow the "Shifter" down and charge the battery simultaneously. At 25% to 100%, the lever controls the speed.
     
  6. One powerful electric motor (ONE hp)
    The motor on the "Shifter" is powerful enough to haul people on a train, on most reasonable tracks.
     
  7. Operational couplers on each end
    The "Shifter" couplers assist in the shifting around of cars in the yard
     
  8. Electric powered by two deep cycle batteries
    The "Shifter" has been designed to run on two, 12 volt, deep cycle batteries of a large size, which increases the traction and the running time.
     
  9. Assembles with simple hand tools.
    No power tools required!! ( Screwdriver, pliers, wrenches and allen wrench are the major tools.)
     
  10. Fits in almost any automobile !  
    The frame weighs only 65lb. But when fully assembled, THE SHIFTER weighs 200 Ib.
     
  11. Road Name and Design Color are your decisions

    12. The shell lifts off, is unfinished and will need some paint.
